POLICY ON PRIVACY OF MEMBERS’ PERSONAL INFORMATION

Purpose:

To satisfy current requirements of federal and provincial legislation with respect Member’s personal information and to specify in what instances this information may be used.

Policy:

Personal information (phone number, address, occupation etc.) collected by the Club for its internal
use may not be made available to any outside person or agency.

Guidelines include:

1. All personal information may be used by the Club, including its committees, to conduct club business.
2. The Club will make available to all Members, an annual roster containing a listing of the names, home and business numbers (if desired) of all Members. This roster is for the personal use of Members and is not to be shared, given away or sold.
3. The roster information is available on the Club website and is password protected.
4. Personal information other than that in the roster is not available from the Club. Members requesting information will be directed to the roster. The Club will assist, to the extent time and circumstance allow, Members who may wish to send correspondence such as a get-well card by addressing and mailing it provided it is brought to the office in a prestamped envelope.
